Our History 

SIX years ago, during one of the hardest times of my life. After losing my mother, I packed up my kids and moved across the state to start fresh in the country. I decided to try my hand at gardening for the first time — which turned into quite the adventure, especially since I dug up five acres by hand before I even knew what a tiller was!  One day, while pulling weeds, I noticed a black cat and her two tiny kittens hiding under the shed. They were completely feral. It took two years of patience before they trusted me enough to let me touch them. Once they did, mama cat got comfortable — maybe a little too comfortable — and soon there were more kittens. How fast can three cats become twenty? Pretty much overnight!I knew I had to step in and stop the cycle. That mama cat, who’s still with me today and now reigns as the queen of the rescue, taught me so much about love, patience, and purpose.  What started as helping one little family of cats became a mission to help others facing the same challenge — people who suddenly find themselves with stray cats on their property and don’t know where to turn. Today, it’s not just about helping homeless or feral cats; it’s about changing lives — both feline and human. Whether it’s one cat or a hundred, the process is the same: compassion, care, and connection. And once we’ve worked together, you’re not just a client — you’re part of the family.
At Kim’s Kitty Sanctuary & Paradise Rescue, we provide safety, medical care, and love to any cats who might need us. Maybe facing abandonment, neglect, or even being abuse we want to help.   But our work doesn’t stop there.—we’re fiercely committed to getting all cats need to be vaccinated and fix..   It’s the only way to stop the cycle of unwanted litters, overcrowded shelters, and cats born just to suffer. While some cats we are lucky to find forever loving homes for,  Others need a short or long term place to feel loved and safe and we provide them with one of our top notch trained foster homes across the state.  We work hard with other rescues that might be a better fit for the cat as well as intake from other rescues which is our rescue partnership program. We have an experienced and very knowledgeable TNR crew who works relentlessly with the community and law enforcement for the safe releasing of feral/unfriendly cats back at their domain which they call home. If there is a chance of them being tamed we do all in our power to socialize and behavior therapy to get them on the adoption for to find their forever inside home. Sanctuary is where their quality of life is best tho for some cats and in the near future we plan to be able to offer that as well.

We do what we feel is best "life" for the cat always.

Here at KKP, we are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats who have been dumped, abused, neglected, or abandoned. But our mission goes deeper—we understand that our mission will never be over until laws are put in place as well as Police follow threw with animal spray and neuter is a must not an option. Were doing everything in our power here to stop the cycle of kittens being born just to suffer.  WE MUST spay and neuter ALL cats. Threw our partnership resources, advocacy, community education, and having an action plan. Every cat that comes into or doors will receive Vet medical care, our endless love, our many years of experience in cat rescue but a lifelong freind and family member. Our Cats and our pet owners become family. We want to be the 1st phone call when anything comes up related to your KKP kitty. We are here for our families given them a sense of contentment.. This gives cats a second chance to a new life, forever place to feel loved and wanted, and Our cat will never face homeless again.  We do what we do solely because WE LOVE OUR CATS.
